I am the luckiest, happiest, and most loved person in the entire universe. It was so totally unexpected what
she did for me on my birthday, which was on the 14th for those of you wonderful friends that seemed to have forgotten. Grrr.
Anyway, I was really tired and sleepy on the morning of the 14th. Work kept me up throughout the entire morning and the previous night, and despite the lazy self in me telling me I should just take a day off or at least get more sleep, work seemed to exert a greater force of persuasion on me at that time. Besides, I had a ton of code and stuff on my plate that I had to finish before the end of the week.
At noon, just when I was about to go to sleep, my darling called me up and asked if I had picked up this thing that I was supposed to pick up for her at Midvalley. At first I was going to pick it up after I had some sleep, but then it sounded urgent so I went, dragging my tired zombie ass self into the car and drive off to MV. As short as the distance is from my house to Midvalley, I really worried I'd suddenly doze off and get into an accident or something cause my eyes were about totally shut the entire journey, but thankfully I didn't.
So I went to Memory Lane to pick up the stuff for her, after looking for parking for blardy 45 minutes. What the hell, noon at Midvalley on a Friday and there wasn't any parking.... grrr.. I showed the salesgirl the receipt for the items, and she took this bag from under the desk area and I grabbed it quickly before heading back home. Didn't look inside the bag or think too much about what was inside as my mind was too preoccupied with the thoughts of me and my bed. So I was about to go get some sleep when Vannessa called me, asking me if I picked up the stuff already. Told her I did, and she started going what-the-hell on me... Turns out the salesgirl was supposed to just give me this envelope instead of just giving me the entire bag with the envelope conveniently tucked at the bottom of the bag. I didn't even realise there was an envelope there...

But yeah so I opened up the envelope, and inside was a card, a map of Midvalley, and a bunch of receipts. When I realised what it was, I was like zomgwtfbbqwhatthehell and at that instant, the intense sleep deprivation that I've been feeling just disappeared. Present hunttttiinnngg!!! O-M-G. I was soooo ecstatic, yet stupid at the same time, because I was supposed to open up the envelope in Midvalley instead.

With sleep totally out of my mind, I jumped out of bed, got into the car and literally sped to MV. Again. This time I didn't bother spending 40 minutes finding a parking that was close to the elevator and just parked at the first empty parking spot there was. Still, I had to spend 15 mins finding one. Cursed MV.
21 Presents! 1 for each of the birthdays she didn't spend with me. The 22nd and 23rd present however, I would only get later at night. I think I was the happiest person in MV at that time, and probably people were thinking I was some crazy gay person with a huge ass smile on my face the entire time. My baby even planned the route I was supposed to take through Midvalley, arranging the receipts in order so I wouldn't have to walk around MV so much. Then there was the map, which totally helped in my quest to retrieve all that was purchased for me days ago that were kept under the respective shops' cashier counters. There was even a Baskin Robbins receipt - good for one ice cream cone - that was placed in the middle of the bunch of receipts so I would be having it after I've gotten the first half of the gifts that I was supposed to collect. How can anyone be more thoughtful and sweeter than that???

All in a couple hours work!

The view from my side ( yummy :P )
After dinner, we moved to a table nearer to the balcony to escape the loud music so we wouldn't need to talk too loud to be able to hear each other..... and there was cake!

Balcony table.. and the cake, with candles unlit

The sweetest, most beautiful and loving person that planned it all!

Cutting teh caakee!

Baby and I...
And to cap off the night, she gave me a nice back massage back at her place.. my 23rd birthday pressie. I so totally needed that massage with all the work and stress I had to cope with in the past couple days, and she knew that. This, among other reasons, is why I love her so much, and why I couldn't ask for a better person, friend, and lover in my life. This was the best birthday I've had in my life so far.
Thank you baby, for planning it all out, for everything you have given to and done for me in the past 6 months. I love you so much.
